the air is warm, the asphalt bumpy beneath me.
we are lying, just the two of us, in the centre of the vast and empty field. above us, the stars stretch out into space, enveloping
us in complete darkness, save for the half-moon's soft light.
we talk of space and nothingness and physics until i'm dizzy. the big
dipper seems huge from where we sit. i've never seen it so big and
seemingly close.
as we study its stars, another meteor streaks across the sky.
